Blueprint Cruciferous Power Soup

Notes

Tips

  • Inspired by Bryan Johnson's Blueprint protocol. Adapted for Thermomix by AdaptMyRecipe.
  • Chop the cruciferous veg and let it rest 5-10 min before cooking, that pause lets the enzyme myrosinase convert glucoraphanin into sulforaphane, the compound the research is built around.
  • Turmeric plus black pepper is the classic pairing, piperine boosts curcumin absorption dramatically.
  • Add the finishing olive oil off the heat. Polyphenols degrade above 80C, so the cooked-in oil handles the saute and the raw pour delivers the compounds.
  • No watching, no stirring, no scorched bottom. The bowl simmers and purees in the same vessel while you set the table.
  • Swap kale for spinach, chard, or cavolo nero depending on what is in the fridge. Frozen florets work too, add 3 min to the simmer.
